Belen Gache is a writer. She published the novels Divina
Anarquia (Divine Anarchy) (Sudamericana,1999) and Luna
India (Indian Moon) (Planeta,1994). Her works were reviewed
in the anthology of argentine writers La Selección
Argentina (Tusquets).
She has published some essays such as: El lado invisible
de las cosas (The invisible side of things) (Madrid, Casa
de América), Jorge Macchi, el destino como principal
sospechoso, (Jorge Macchi, destiny as the principal suspect)
(Centre Contemporain dárt, Montebeliard , Francia)
and El ser escrito: lenguajes y escrituras en la obra de
Xul Solar (The writen being: languages and writings in
Xul Solar's works) (Museo Centro de Arte Reina Sofía,
Madrid).
She is co director of the web site Fin del Mundo (The
end of the world, www.findelmundo.com.ar). Her visual poems
have been part of several events such as Hypertext´01
(Aarhus University,
Denmark) or FILE (Museu da Imagem e do Som, Sao Paolo
Brazil). She has been awarded with Special Mentions of the
Jury in the events Post Cagean Interactive Sounds (Machida
City Museum, Japan) and Buenos Aires Video XII, Premio
ICI Multimedia de Video Experimental.
She has been invited to participate in different discussion
panels about contemporary
argentine literature and art (for instance, Universidad Autónoma
de Madrid, Casa de América de Madrid, Universidad de
Salamanca, Theorical Encounter of the VII Havana Biennial,
2000)
She is professor and researcher in the Buenos Aires University.
She has a Master's Degree in Discourse Analysis with a thesis
on argentinian writer Julio Cortázar. She is a doctoral
candidate in Art History at the University of Buenos Aires.
